Reservoir Park

When a patron asked for help finding information about Reservoir Park, I remembered the story my uncle told about how he lost his front teeth on the hill. One winter while he and his friends were sledding, his sled went over a bump, and when he landed, his mouth hit the cross piece (since he was lying face down on the sled). The teeth didn't survive the impact. Ouch!

It is the park you drive by on S. Lafayette Street near Creighton Avenue. Large Ponds are in front of the Reservoir Hill as you are going south.

I found these great pictures of my grandmother and her family in Reservoir Park in the 1920s.
